What is happening?
Intuiface is introducing several changes to its pricing model. Notably, monthly and annual subscription prices for Platform plans, Composer, and Player will increase, accompanied by an increase in the number of free Player and Composer licenses bundled with each Platform tier.
This is the first change to our pricing model since the spring of 2021. It reflects three key priorities:
- Sustaining quality: Like many technology providers, Intuiface is facing rising operational costs in areas such as cloud & AI infrastructure, support services, and development resources. Our pricing must be adjusted to reflect this new normal.
- Delivering more value: Our platform has undergone significant evolution since 2021, offering numerous additional capabilities, including Player Next Gen, web deployment, and Team Management. In the pipeline, we have multiple innovative projects underway, including our AI-based Experience Generator and Composer Next Gen.
- Better alignment with usage: Observations and discussions with customers have taught us that our Platform bundles could be better optimized for how they're actually used in the field. This includes providing clarity for choosing between the various tiers and bundling more free Player and Composer licenses.
Ultimately, this change ensures that you receive even greater value while enabling us to continue investing in innovation and support.
When will this happen?
The new pricing model will go live on 31-July.
However, any customer with an active Platform subscription purchased before 31-July will retain access to the current (soon to be legacy) pricing model until 1-September.
I get that prices are going up, but what's this about more free Player and Composer licenses?
Platform Premier and Enterprise will include an increased number of free Player and Composer licenses.

Will these free Player and Composer licenses be added to my license portfolio, or will they replace what I already have?
These free licenses will replace what you already have. Of course, if you have fewer Players or Composers than your entitlement, trueing up will result in your organization receiving additional licenses.
Are there limits to the number of Player subscriptions that can be purchased?
Yes, depending on the tier. The Essential plan always had a Player limit. We are now introducing a limit for the Premier plan as well.

Are there limits to the number of Composer subscriptions that can be purchased?
There is no limit on the number of Composer subscriptions you can possess.
I'm a customer. Do I get any grandfathered pricing?
No. After 1-September:
- As long as you make no additional Player or Composer purchases, your Platform plan and Player/Composer subscriptions will renew at an additional 15% cost. This differs from a true-up, as older licenses may have renewal costs lower than those in the pricing model being replaced.
- The moment you purchase an additional Player or Composer license, you will be required to true up your Platform subscription and all existing Players and Composers.
This rule applies in perpetuity. You can avoid trueing up forever by never purchasing additional Player and Composer licenses. However, you cannot avoid the 15% increase in renewal cost, plus some new features will be exclusive to trued-up customers.
I've got licenses with grandfathered prices set long before Intuiface Version 7, the last time you changed prices. Are these very old prices no longer protected?
Correct, they are no longer protected. However, their renewal prices will depend on whether you buy additional Player or Composer licenses.
- Renewal prices for pre-Intuiface 7 (legacy-grandfathered) licenses if you don't purchase additional Players or Composers on/after 1-September
The renewal cost of these legacy-grandfathered Player and Composer subscriptions will increase by 15% on 1-September. - Renewal prices for pre-Intuiface 7 (legacy-grandfathered) licenses if you purchase additional Players or Composers on/after 1-September
You will be required to true up all Platform, Player, and Composer subscriptions, paying the new licensing model rates for renewal.
Tell me more about this "true up" thing.
To "true up" an organization's Platform, Player, and Composer licenses means aligning their renewal costs with the new pricing model.
Only active customers before 31-July have a true-up option. Customers on/after 31-July will be charged the new pricing model rates, so there is no need to true up.
Here's what will happen on the day a customer trues up:
- The Platform Plan will be charged for a full year at the new pricing model cost, less the value of the unused portion of the active (old pricing model) Platform subscription. The Platform's renewal date will be a year from the true-up date.
- Active Composer and Player subscriptions are converted to the free Composer and Player licenses that come with each Platform tier. The Composers and Players with the closest renewal dates are used. The prorated value of the unused subscriptions for these converted Composers and Players is lost.
- All other active Composer and Player subscriptions are untouched until their renewal date, at which time they are charged the new rates.
Trueing up can occur at any point; you do not have to wait for the purchase of new Player or Composer licenses in September or later. In fact, starting 31-July, you will see a "true up" option on our Pricing page.
Here's an example of what will happen with Composer and Player licenses to reflect the additional bundled amounts of free Player and Composer licenses in each Platform tier:
- Consider an Enterprise account with 10 Player licenses and 3 Composer licenses.
- Renewal without trueing up means paying the original prices for
- 1 x Platform Enterprise
- 9 x Player (one is included in the Enterprise subscription)
- 2 x Composer (one is included in the Enterprise subscription)
- Renewal after trueing up means paying the new prices for
- 1 x Platform Enterprise
- 5 x Player (five are included in the Enterprise subscription)
- 0 x Composer (five are included in the Enterprise subscription)
Are there any benefits exclusive to those who true up to the new pricing model?
Yes! The benefits of trueing up include
- entitlement to all significant enhancements in our development pipeline, like our upcoming Experience Generator and Composer Next Gen
- paying for fewer Player and Composer licenses due to the increased bundling of free licenses
- access to additional free, live coaching sessions with our product experts
Can I purchase multi-year subscriptions and extensions during the months of July and August using the current pricing model?
Yes, you can. Just keep in mind that extending your use of the current pricing model means you will not be eligible for the true-up advantages. And no matter how long your multi-year extension lasts, once it renews, it will do so with a 15% increase if you don't purchase additional licenses, or it will renew as a true-up if you did purchase additional licenses.
I'm a service provider with a signed multi-year project that has locked-in Intuiface rates. What are my options?
You have until 1-September to apply multi-year extensions to your Intuiface subscriptions so their pricing aligns with your client commitments.
Remember:
- If you have legacy-grandfathered pricing - pricing lower than that introduced with Intuiface Version 7 in 2021 - it will still be increased by 15% when it's time to renew. Be sure to account for this increase.
- Extending your use of the current pricing model means you will not be entitled to the true-up advantages.
I'm currently in the 28-day trial. How do all of these changes affect me?
The pricing model will change on 31-July. If you purchase before 31-July, you will pay the current rate and be granted the month of August to add licenses at the current rate. However, as with all active customers, any addition of Player or Composer licenses on/after 1-September will force a true-up.
Will you still offer Academic Discounts?
Yes, we'll offer a 30% discount on both Premier and Enterprise Platform subscriptions to qualifying accounts.
Will you still offer volume discounts?
Yes, our volume discount model will remain unchanged beyond its recognition of the new list prices.
I've still got perpetual licenses. What happens to them?
Perpetual licenses are exempt from trueing up because they are locked into the Intuiface Version 6 feature set. There is no additional cost for perpetual licenses - for example, there is no need for true-up - but they remain limited in functionality.
