Overview
Composer Free and all unlicensed versions of Player possess a small number of limitations.
Limitations are eliminated through the activation of paid licenses. NOTE: Both Composer and Player must be licensed for removal of Player limitations.
Limitations of Composer Free
Users of Composer Free will encounter the following limitations:
- Watermark
- Located in the lower right-hand corner of a running experience.

- Need to be Online
- A live Internet connection is required every time Play Mode is started and every time project changes are saved.
- Play Mode limit of 8 minutes
- Play Mode, used to test your work, is limited to 8 minutes. After that period of time elapses, Play Mode automatically stops and Composer reverts back to Edit Mode.
- Reminder Window
- Starting on the eighth day of use (not necessarily consecutive days), a Reminder Window will appear every time Play Mode is started or changes are saved.
- For exceptional circumstances, the Reminder Window can be suppressed for specific Intuiface accounts.
- Forced Update 15 Days After Each New Release
- 15 days after a new version of Composer is released, Composer Free users must upgrade to that version. The previous version of Composer will cease to work
- Restriction to usage of Composer Free and unlicensed Player
- Experiences created using Composer Free can only be opened by other instances of Composer Free or unlicensed installations of Player. Composer Essential/Premier/Enterprise and paid Players cannot open Composer Free experiences.
- EXCEPTION: If Composer Free is licensed to become Essential/Premier/Enterprise, any experience edited on the same PC using Composer Free can be opened.
- Absence of Features Unique to Composer Premier and Enterprise
- Includes the ability to save projects using custom-built interface assets (Premier and Enterprise) and remote deployment (Enterprise only).
- Even Composer Free can load and use custom-built interface assets. It's the ability to save those projects that is restricted.
- Includes the ability to save projects using custom-built interface assets (Premier and Enterprise) and remote deployment (Enterprise only).
NOTE: Select Intuiface accounts are entitled to a two week trial of Composer Enterprise, enabling evaluation of features unique to Composer Premier and Enterprise, including remote deployment. For details, contact Intuiface Sales.
Limitations of Unlicensed Players
NOTE: Even if Player is licensed, it will still exhibit limitations if the experience was build using an unlicensed Composer. Experiences must be built using a licensed Composer in order for licensed Players to lose their limitations.
Limitations of Unlicensed Players on all platforms
Users of unlicensed Players - across all supported platforms - will encounter the following limitations:
- Watermark
- Located in the lower right-hand corner of a running experience.

- Need to be online
- A live Internet connection is required in order to play an experience.
- No generation of data points
- Unlicensed Players will not generate and upload data points collected via use of Intuiface Analytics. Only Composer (any tier, including Free) and licensed Players can generate data points.
Additional Limitation of Unlicensed Player On All But Windows PCs
Unlicensed Player on all supported platforms other than Windows can only store one experience on their device. When a new experience is downloaded, the previously downloaded experience is deleted.
