Introduction
An organization's owners and admins can loan the Composer and Player licenses in their primary account to any other account in their organization.
License loaning is particularly useful when managing multiple projects or client Intuiface accounts.
NOTE: Only Platform Premier and Platform Enterprise organizations can loan a license.
Account Sharing IDs
To specify a destination account for license loaning, you need to know its Sharing ID.
Each account has a Sharing ID, created at the time of account creation. The Sharing ID is a unique identifier that is unique across all organizations and even across all Intuiface customers.
The Sharing ID is a combination of the organization ID and the account ID, separated by a slash symbol.
Sharing IDs can be found in the editor panel for any account (accessed by clicking that account on the Accounts dashboard). For example, the Sharing ID for the Account "Client-C" in the organization "Super Creative Agency", is "super-creative-agency/client-c":
Loaning a license
Choosing an account
To loan a license, the owner or an admin of an organization should perform the following:
- Open the License Dashboard on the My Intuiface website.
- Select the "Loan to account" link below the license you wish to loan.
- Paste the target account's Sharing ID into the "to:" field of the "Loan to account" pop-up.
NOTE: Clicking the "to:" field will display a list of all accounts in the current organization. You only need to paste the Sharing ID for accounts in other organizations. - Click the "Loan" button. You will be asked to confirm your intention to loan the license. Click the new "Loan" button. An email is now sent to every user of the target account.
Once the license is loaned, the License Key column of the License Dashboard will identify the name of the account to which the license has been loaned. The "License Status" column will contain the word Loaned and indicate the license key used by that license in its loaned state.
NOTE: For security reasons, loaned licenses will have a different license key (a string of letters and numbers) in the receiving account.
Retrieving a loaned license
To cancel a loan and retrieve the license, return to the Licenses Dashboard and click the link "Bring license back" located below the license key of the loaned license.
A pop-up will ask you if you're sure you'd like to retrieve the license. Click the "Yes" button.
Conditions and restrictions
- Any Premier or Enterprise organization can loan its annual licenses to any other Premier or Enterprise organization. Accounts in Platform Essential organizations can neither load licenses nor receive a loaned license.
