Overview
API Explorer is typically accessed through Intuiface Composer, displayed when choosing to create or modify an interface asset for a REST-based Web Service. However, API Explorer can also be accessed directly within a web browser.
This article explains how to access and use API Explorer stand-alone, in a web browser, outside of Intuiface Composer.
Opening API Explorer in a web browser
Using Chrome or a Chromium-based web browser, open the page https://api-explorer.intuiface.com
You will be asked to log into your Intuiface account.
At this point, the entirety of API Explorer will be available.
Adding an interface asset to your experience
After you have configured the interface asset using API Explorer, click the Export button in the bottom right corner.
Give your interface asset a name and category, then click the Create button. The result is the creation of a .ifd file, stored in the C:\Users\[your PC profile name]\Downloads folder of your PC.
As indicated in the green panel above, simply drag-and-drop that .ifd file from the Downloads folder onto the experience you're currently editing in Composer and it will be imported, ready for use.
Changing an interface asset
At this time, it is not possible to use the stand-alone API Explorer to modify an existing interface asset. To make a change you must recreate the interface asset from scratch and add it to your experience as if it were brand new.
