Introduction
Intuiface organizations can have one of four Platform plans - Trial, Essential, Premier, Enterprise - and there are rules governing how experiences can be opened, edited, and played across those plans. This article discusses those cross-plan rules.
NOTE:
- No Intuiface organization can contain a mixture of Platform plans. This article discusses plan differences between separate Intuiface organizations

Understanding how experiences are linked to the Platform plan
The experiences you create using Intuiface include information about the Platform plan associated with your organization. This means there are not just four Platform tiers but also four kinds of experiences – Trial, Essential, Premier, and Enterprise. By keeping this idea in mind, the rules governing how to work with experiences across Platform plans will become clearer.
Limitations of paid Platform plans
The scope of Platform Essential is best understood by noting what Platform Premier and Platform Enterprise add to the Essential feature set.
The most notable features unique to Platform Premier and Platform Enterprise:
- Ability to access any external data source, business logic, or connected device at runtime
- Sharing published experiences with write and play-only privileges
The most notable feature exclusive to Platform Enterprise
Platform Trial is almost identical to Platform Enterprise. The only differences are 1) the Trial must have a live Internet connection at all times, and 2) when a new version of Composer and Player is released, Trial accounts must upgrade.
Feature details for all of the Platform plans can be found on the Pricing page.
Limits of the Trial plan
Trial experiences are limited to accounts in the Intuiface organization that created them. They cannot be shared with accounts in other organizations. This includes two organizations running the Trial.
Sharing scenarios
Can a Trial Composer open, play, and save experiences created using a paid Composer?
Yes, but keep in mind that the use of a Trial Composer means any changes you make can only be saved to a Trial version of the experience. The result is an experience that can only be opened, edited, and saved by that organization's Trial Composers. (Remember, it is not possible for the same Intuiface organization to have both Trial and paid Composers.) The experience can no longer be opened in paid Composers until a paid Composer is installed on a PC used to run the trial.
Can a Trial experience be opened in a Trial Composer on any PC other than the original Trial PC?
Yes, if both Trial Composers are part of the same Intuiface organization.
Can a Trial experience be opened in a higher-tier Composer on any PC other than the original Trial PC?
No, Trial experiences cannot be opened in paid Composers on any PC other than the one used during the trial. In other words, you must upgrade the organization to a paid tier and then save that experience on its original PC using a paid Composer before opening it in a paid Composer of any Platform tier on any other PC.
Can a Platform Essential Composer open, play, and save experiences created using Platform Premier or Enterprise Composer?
Yes, but be aware that custom Interface Assets added using the Platform Premier or Enterprise Composer must be manually removed before saving the experience. Platform Essential does include the ability to create, edit, or save Interface Assets.
