Introduction
An organization's owners and admins can share published experiences in any of their accounts with any other account in their organization or any other organization. Shared experiences will appear in the destination account's Composer and Player Experiences panel and can be edited and played.
All Platform plans can publish and share experiences.
NOTE:
- This article is about sharing experiences with other Intuiface accounts. Composers and Players using licenses from the same Intuiface account will automatically have access to all published experiences via the Experiences panel, avoiding the need for sharing.
- The account receiving a shared experience cannot deploy that experience to the web. Web deployment is only available to the account that owns the experience. However, the receiving account does have the ability to deploy shared experiences to their own in-venue Players.
Account Sharing IDs
To specify a destination account for experience sharing, you need to know its Sharing ID.
Each account has a Sharing ID, created at the time of account creation. The Sharing ID is a unique identifier that is unique across all organizations and even across all Intuiface customers.
The Sharing ID is a combination of the organization ID and the account ID, separated by a slash symbol.
Sharing IDs can be found in the editor panel for any account (accessed by clicking the account on the Accounts dashboard). For example, the Sharing ID for the Account "Client-C" in the organization "Super Creative Agency", is "super-creative-agency/client-c":
Sharing an experience
-
Open the My Experiences tab of the Share and Deploy console and select the experience you wish to share.
- You will now see an information panel for the selected experience. Click the "Share with account" tab for the selected experience.
- Paste the target account's Sharing ID into the "Share with" field.
NOTE: Clicking the "Share with" field will display a list of all accounts in the current organization. You only need to paste the Sharing ID for accounts in other organizations. - To the right of the newly listed account, in the sharing privileges dropdown box, specify whether you want to grant "Read-only" or "Read and Write" privileges. For information about sharing privileges, see this article.
- Click the "Share" button to the right of the sharing privileges dropdown box. If you checked the "Send sharing notifications" checkbox located above the "Share with" section, Intuiface will email the owner, admins, and users of this account.
- Repeat the above process to add additional accounts.
Opening a Shared Experience
Shared experiences first appear in the Composer and Player Experiences panel with the icon in the upper right-hand corner of their representation. This icon tells you this experience is only in the cloud and not downloaded.
Shared experiences will also have an icon reflecting the level of sharing privileges granted by the experience owner. For a look at those icons, see this page.
Composer: To download a shared experience, click its thumbnail image. The experience will be saved into the folder C:\Users\[your account]\Documents\Intuiface
.
Player: To play a shared experience, click its thumbnail image. This will initiate the download process if necessary and then run the experience.
Unsharing an experience
To cancel a share, return to the "Share with account" tab of the experience you shared. Click the X symbol to the right of the share. An email is sent to every user of the account who no longer has access to the experience.
