Install Intuiface Composer / Player on Windows devices

Overview

This article identifies the various methods that exist for installing Composer and Player on Windows PCs. Regardless of the approach taken, the result is the same.
 

Installing Composer for the 28-day Trial

If you register with Intuiface to run the 28-day Trial, your final step is to click a Validation button placed in an email we send you. Clicking this button informs us that we have accurately recorded your email address and then sends you to a webpage with information about how to get started with Composer:
 
 
Your web browser should download the installer automatically. If not, click the green "Get Composer installer" button. Once downloaded, run the installer.

The installation window will guide you through the rest of the setup process.

When complete, run Composer and - when asked - enter the User ID and Password you specified when creating an Intuiface account.
 

Manually installing Composer

The installer for Intuiface Composer can be found in the Intuiface Installers section of the My Intuiface website.

The Intuiface Installers page contains all the available Intuiface products.

Click the "Windows" link in the Composer section to download the installer. When complete, run Composer and - when asked - enter the User ID and Password you specified when creating an Intuiface account

Manually Installing Player

Composer embeds all variants of the in-venue Player, meaning you can test your work in Composer without having to install Player separately. To do this, use Composer's Play Mode.
However, if you want to install Player separately, use your web browser to visit the Intuiface Installers section of the My Intuiface website.

The Intuiface Installers page contains setup files for the in-venue Player on all supported platforms.

After downloading the Windows version of Player, run the downloaded executable to start the installation process. Once installed, choose from a variety of Player activation options.
 

Installation location

Intuiface will be installed on the system default drive (the same drive on which Windows is installed). The installation location is

  • Composer: C:\Users\<CurrentUser>\AppData\Local\IntuiLab\Intuiface\Composer
  • Player: C:\Program Files\IntuiLab\Intuiface\

The installation location cannot be changed.

Install previous versions of Composer or Player on Windows

If you need to roll back to a previous version of Composer or Player on Windows, click on the Older versions link on the installers page and choose the version you need.

Note: We always recommend using the latest versions of Composer and Player. If you think you need to roll back to a previous version without being asked to do so by the Intuiface Support Team, we recommend you contact us first and tell us why.

    when running the installer of Composer the setup never start the is icon on the taskbar blinking but nothing is showing on my screen, I can't terminate the task , the only option is to restart the computer.
