Introduction
Both Composer and Player have a small number of settings that either impact experiences or assist your interaction with Intuiface Technical Support.
Composer Settings
Composer (and Player for Windows) enables you to configure how aggressively you'd like it to address performance in the Web Browser Asset and 3D Model Asset. (Under the covers, the 3D Model Asset is based on a Web browser.)
Make sure your Windows PC is always up to date with the latest video drivers for your graphics card to get the best performance out of the Web Browser and 3D Model assets.
Opening the Composer configuration panel
To open the configuration panel, select the menu item File -> Show Composer settings
Understanding the Composer configuration options
- Processor option
Low-end video cards/GPUs can backfire, so on those PCs, you'll get better performance from the Web Browser Asset by using the CPU instead of the GPU. However, the GPU is required by the 3D Model asset. This means there is a trade-off between optimal website performance and 3D model performance on low-end PCs.
The default setting is to use the GPU. This assumes you have a high-end video card/GPU. - Frame rate
Frame rate is the frequency at which consecutive images in 3D models and Web-hosted videos are displayed. The higher the frame rate, the harder your PC will work. Choose the lowest setting that results in the smoothest performance of 3D models and Web-hosted videos.
The default setting is to use the highest setting. This assumes you have a high-end video card/GPU.
- Keyboard
With this option, you can activate or deactivate the virtual keyboard for the Text Input Asset and the Web Browser Asset. It is advantageous if your device already has its own virtual keyboard, like Chrome OS-based devices.
- By default, Composer will release its license on exit, assuming there is a live Internet connection. If you prefer to retain the license when exiting Composer, deselect the option "Release License on Exit".
Player for Windows Settings
Player for Windows enables you to configure how aggressively you'd like it to address performance in the Web Browser Asset and 3D Model Asset. (Under the covers, the 3D Model Asset is based on a Web browser.)
Make sure your Windows PC is always up to date with the latest video drivers for your graphics card to get the best performance out of the Web Browser and 3D Model assets.
Opening the Player configuration panel
To open the configuration panel, select the Player Settings option at the bottom of the Experiences panel.

Player for other platforms can be configured to control various aspects of experience playback and can be used to assist Intuiface Technical Support as they troubleshoot issues.
