This article describes how to use the AZERTY international keyboard for inputting latin characters with accents.
To type an accented character, use one of the following combinations:
For characters with the circumflex (^ ) type
- ^ then a -> â
- ^ the e -> ê
- ^ then i -> î
- ^ then o -> ô
- ^ then u -> û
For characters with the accent acute (') type
- ' then a -> á
- ' then e -> é
- ' then i -> í
- ' then o -> ó
- ' then u -> ú
- ' then y -> ý
For characters with the cedilla (¸) type
- ' then c -> ç
For characters with the accent grave (`) type
- ` then a -> à
- ` then e -> è
- ` then i -> ì
- ` then o -> ò
- ` then u -> ù
For characters with the diaeresis / umlaut (¨) type
- ¨ then a -> ä
- ¨ then e -> ë
- ¨ then i -> ï
- ¨ then o -> ö
- ¨ then u -> ü
- ¨ then y -> ÿ
For characters with the tilde (~) type
- ~ then n -> ñ
