Overview
This article concerns Intuiface Player on the Tizen-based Samsung SMART Signage Platform (aka the Samsung SSP). Although Tizen can also be found on Samsung TVs, Intuiface only supports SMART Signage displays.
Once Player is running, the user experience is identical to that of Player on all other supported platforms. If you are already familiar with how to use Player on those platforms, then you can go from a published Intuiface experience to running it on the SSSP in seconds. If you are new to Intuiface, hang in there - it's easy!
Intuiface Prerequisites
Player Next Gen is required for running experiences on the Samsung SSP. To access Player Next Gen, please inform your Intuiface Account Rep (or email sales@intuiface.com). This next-gen Player is not yet generally available but is always given upon request.
As you'll see in the Hardware section below, Player Next Gen requires a particular version of TizenOS.
Be sure to become familiar with Intuiface's Samsung SSP limitations and limitations of Player Next Gen. The lists are short, but knowing them will ensure your experiences run successfully.
Supported Hardware
Player Next Gen supports TIzenOS Version 6.5 and higher, independent of the SSP model.
NOTE: If you are committed to an older version of TizenOS and cannot upgrade to Version 6.5, then on a case-by-case basis, we may approve your use of current-gen Player. We cannot promise access, but if interested, inform your Intuiface Account Rep or email sales@intuiface.com.
Intuiface Player was tested on the following configuration, but other configurations are likely supported:
- QM43B-T / Samsung SSP 10 / TizenOS 6.5
We recommend installation of the latest firmware available for download from your Samsung reseller or Samsung support team.
Installing Player
- Power up the SSP and set the correct date and time.
Do not skip this step. If either the date or time is incorrect, Player will not run.- On the remote control, press "MENU" then select the System -> Time -> Clock Set.

Player activation (aka assigning a license)
Assigning a license
Player activation is the process of associating Player with an Intuiface account and a paid license. The activation mechanism has been designed to account for very large-scale and highly variable deployments.
Choose any of the multiple Player activation options available for use.
- NOTE: If no active Platform plan/license is available, Player will not run.
License checkout order
If permitting Intuiface to automatically assign a license, such as when logging into Player, the oldest available license (based on the original purchase date) with the longest subscription duration will be selected.
Limitations
- Player will lose the license after device restart if reactivating the previously released license from the same device.
Running Player after the initial install
Whenever you restart the SSP, if Intuiface Player was the last URL loaded by the App Launcher, just select the Intuiface Player icon to start Player.
Making experiences available for download
The experiences listed in the Intuiface Experiences panel are found by Player because they were either:
- published by someone using Composer under the same Intuiface account used to run Player
OR - shared with the Intuiface account used to run Player
The former are listed on the My Experiences tab of Player's Experiences panel. The latter are listed on the Shared With Me tab of Player's Experiences panel.
A third tab in the Experiences panel - named Samples - references various sample experiences you can download to try out Player on the Samsung SSP.
Troubleshooting
Error 7010 / Player appearing offline
These issues typically occur when there is a time discrepancy between the Player device and our servers.
1) Check if the Date/Time are properly set in System -> Time -> Clock Set
2) Check the NTP Settings in System -> Time -> NTP Settings
If these settings are enabled but not correctly configured, they will cause download issues and/or the Player to appear offline.
In this case, you could either deactivate the NTP Settings OR manually configure them to match the proper Date/Time.
