Overview
Collection content can be deleted at the individual item level and across the entirety of a single collection. Either way, you can have publishing workflow options to choose from.
Deleting a single collection item
To delete a single item in a collection.
- Find the "Item Status" property - always the first row or column, depending on your table orientation.
- Click the rocket icon for the specific item you wish to delete. This is what you'll see for a published item.
- For published items, choose from one of two options:
- Delete during the next publish: This option will stage the deletion, meaning the item is not yet deleted but will be removed the next time you publish anything else in the base. Running experiences would still see the item.
- Delete item now: This option will immediately delete, and publish the deletion, of the selected item. Running experiences would no longer see the item.
- For Draft items, use the Discard change option.
Deleting the entire contents of a collection
To retain a collection's structure but empty it of all contents, follow these steps:
- Click the "Collection options" button above the content table.
- Select from one of two options:
- Delete all items during the next publish: This option will immediately delete any items in the Draft state and stage the deletion of all published items. This means none of the already-published items are deleted immediately but will be removed the next time you publish anything else in the base. Running experiences would still see these published items.
- Delete all items now: This option will immediately delete all items in the collection and publish this deletion. Running experiences would no longer see these items.
