Overview
All Intuiface accounts have their own storage for published experiences using Intuiface Cloud Storage. Under the covers, Intuiface Cloud Storage uses the Amazon AWS S3 service.
Prior to September 2023, Intuiface customers with Platform Enterprise accounts were also permitted to set up and use a personal (corporate) AWS S3 bucket instead of Intuiface Cloud Storage.
It is no longer possible to add a personal AWS S3 bucket to an Intuiface account, nor is it possible to set a personal AWS S3 bucket as default storage. However, already-configured buckets that are the default storage option can continue to be used to store new and already published experiences.
This article discusses how to configure and use personal AWS S3 buckets that are already set up in Intuiface.
NOTE:
- Experiences published to personal AWS S3 buckets cannot be deployed to the web.
- The ability to use personal AWS S3 buckets will eventually be prevented in its entirety and given end-of-life status. There is no timeline for this change.
- This entire article is about features exclusive to Platform Enterprise accounts.
Configuring Personal AWS S3 Buckets
To configure personal AWS S3 buckets already set up in Intuiface:
- Go to the My Experiences panel of the Share and Deploy console
- Click the "Storage Settings" button located on the right side of the page.
- Click the AWS S3 icon
- Enter the appropriate information. Then
- Click on Check to verify that the information is correct
- Click on Submit to save the configuration
Saving new experiences to your personal AWS S3 bucket
As long as your personal AWS S3 bucket is the default storage option, all new experiences published by Composer will be stored in that bucket.
Setting Intuiface Cloud Storage as your account-level default
At any point, you can change your default storage option from a personal AWS S3 bucket to Intuiface Cloud Storage. This change is permanent. You will never again be able to set your personal storage as the default.
To switch the default storage option for published experiences to Intuiface Cloud Storage:
- Go to the My Experiences panel of the Share and Deploy console
- Click the "Storage Settings" button located on the right side of the page.
- Click the icon for Intuiface Cloud Storage.
- Click the "Set as default" button
How to move experiences in a personal bucket to Intuiface Cloud Storage
Any experience published to a personal AWS S3 bucket can be configured for storage in Intuiface Cloud Storage instead. Once moved into Intuiface Cloud Storage, an experience can never be moved back to your personal bucket.
- Open the My Experiences tab of the Share & Deploy Console.
- Select your experience to open its Details panel.
- Click the "Edit current location" button.
- In the pop-up that appears, select Intuiface Cloud Storage.
Limitations
- Player running on Android cannot download experiences stored on Amazon S3 personal bucket. You must use Intuiface Storage instead.
