Overview

Intuiface Player lets you run experiences created with Intuiface Composer on devices running Amazon Fire OS. It has been validated on the following devices:

• Amazon Signage Stick
• Amazon Fire TV Stick

NOTE: Amazon does not support use of the Fire TV Stick for digital signage. As a result, this article focuses on the Signage Stick.

Installing Intuiface Player

Intuiface is a validated CMS partner for the Amazon Signage Stick. As a result, you can select Player when setting up your device.

Follow the Signage Stick setup instructions. The final step enables you to select Intuiface Player.

NOTE:

• Before using Player, please be aware of the known limitations. Player on the Signage Stick is not fully feature-equivalent to Player on Windows

Activating Player on the Signage Stick

Player activation is the process used to associate Player with a license. The activation mechanism has been designed to support very large-scale, highly variable deployments.

Choose from any of the multiple Player activation options.

NOTE:

• When a license expires, it is released automatically. Player will then attempt to request a new license the next time it is run.
• If no active Platform plan/license is available, Player will not run.

License Checkout Order

If permitting Intuiface to automatically assign a license, such as when logging into Player, the license with the farthest renewal date in the future will be selected.

NOTE:

• On the Signage Stick, deselecting and reselecting Intuiface Player as the CMS, or logging out and back in, will consume a new license each time. Please see our article on releasing Player licenses from a device to make sure they are returned to the license server for use on other devices.

Using Player

Once you have installed Player, you can download and play your experiences.

• In Composer, publish your experience. This will make the experience available in the Player Experiences panel, on the "My Experiences" tab. Experiences shared with you by other Intuiface accounts will also be available in the Experiences panel, on the "Shared With Me" tab.
• Touch any experience in the Experiences panel, and it will automatically download
• Select Play from the thumbnail of the experience to make it run on the device.
